How do students access class recordings?

Answer

Students will be able to access class recordings on Blackboard regardless of which, if any, course management system (TWEN, Lexis Classroom, or Blackboard) is used for a class.

If faculty members request that their classes be recorded and made available, this will happen automatically on Blackboard a few minutes after the scheduled end of the class. If faculty want to manage the editing and release of their own recordings, Law IT will create an individual account for them and provide training.

A few important points:

  • Recordings will begin and end at the scheduled time for the applicable class.
  • Recordings will be scheduled only at the request of faculty.
  • Submit requests for class recordings to Law IT at lawhelp@udc.edu. Please provide Law IT as much advance notice as possible.

To access available class recordings, follow these steps:

  • Log into https://my.udc.edu using your standard login credentials (email username and password).
  • Select the Blackboard link in the “QuickLaunch” box on the left.
  • Select the applicable course name listed under “My Courses.”
  • Select “Class Recordings” button on the left.
  • Click on either the course name link (for access to multiple class recordings) or the date link for an individual recording.
